TOO LOVELY TO DISAPPEAR

Built for a good cause.
Saved for everyone.

These houses were made for the annual Douglas County Big Brothers Big Sisters Gingerbread House Festival and Auction. After all that care, creativity, and royal icing, it felt a little sad to see them go.

In 2011, we started Baked Homes to preserve them. The collection now brings together photos from 2006 through 2012, including construction details and the stories behind the houses. It’s a place to return to those wonderful little worlds—and to celebrate the people who made them.
